Finding the Name of Your PC

For Windows

1. Open the Settings App

   • Click on the Start menu and select Settings (the gear icon).

2. Go to System

   • In the Settings window, click on System.

3. Select About

   • Scroll down and select About from the left-hand menu.

4. View Device Name

   • Under Device specifications, you will see the Device name. This is the name of your PC.

Using the Control Panel

1. Open Control Panel

   • Type Control Panel in the search bar next to the Start menu and select it.

2. Go to System and Security

   • Click on System and Security.

3. Select System

   • Click on System. You will see the Computer name under the section labeled Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings.

Using Command Prompt

1. Open Command Prompt

   • Type cmd in the search bar next to the Start menu and select Command Prompt.

2. Enter the Command

   • Type hostname and press Enter. The name of your PC will be displayed.
